What’s inside these problem solving worksheets for kids

• Hot vs Cool Dialogue: write a conversation between the Sun and the Fish by choosing tone, adding feeling words and actions, and twisting the scene.
• Word Clines – The Slide Ladder: learn how words show different levels of intensity, from a little warm to blazing hot.
• Cline Challenge: build your own word cline for feelings and ideas like angry, small, slow or scared.
• Plan A → B → C Ladder: learn to think of more than one way to solve a problem, and to try differently, not just harder.
• Help Map + Switch the Lens: map the people who can help and imagine how a parent or teacher might see the same problem.

Skills children build: problem-solving, flexible thinking, vocabulary and richer word choice, creative writing, emotional awareness and empathy.
