How can a discussion about pocket money help in recognizing own privileges and developing empathy towards underprivileged?
This resource based on a BBC Archive video of a classroom discussion about pocket money shows the high level of awareness children can have towards larger issues like poverty and inflation only if we, as adults, give them an opportunity to express their thoughts. The resource also embeds some elements of connected speech and functional grammar and some activities are turned around on their head to induce some critical thinking skills.

The answer key is provided as a separate document and can be downloaded if required.
